Shuntaro Takabatake has been a motive force in the overgrond and underground music scene for more than 20 years. Past appearing in such diverse acts as ULTRA POP, POINTER, AUTO PILOT,TAKABATAKE SHUNTARO ROCK'N ROLL BAND and NIYANIYA.

This innovative singer / song writers songs bring in to sharp focus many aspects of our lives with a surreal use of imagery giving his songs an almost, "photographic" quality.

Psychedelic guitars meld with electronic “chillout”influences in a sort of "musical still life". Something you need to see for yourself perhaps?

Shuntaro is also know as the organiser of the headLine event, no doubt his high standing amongst his pears accounts for numerous well know artists that are often seen gathering there. What? You want names. Sorry you’l have to go and find out that way!

Shuntaro says that even after so many years in music that he is still searching for something but he won’t know what it is when he finds it.

90年代初頭からり日本の音楽のメジャーシーンとマイナーシーンを行き来し、ギターヴォーカルソングライターとして、ULTRA POP、POINTER、AUTO PILOT、高畠俊太郎ROCK'N ROLL BAND、ニヤニヤと、いくつものバンドの結成解散を繰り返しながら作品を発表し続けている。ジャンルの枠にとらわれず、その声は瞬時に世界を描き出す。ミュージシャン、バンドからの信頼も厚く、下北沢440で行われている自主企画「headLine」にはジャンルを超え多くのミュージシャンが集まっている。
